Plot Summary:
Tomoya Okazaki is a third year high school delinquent student resentful of
his life. He finds his life dull and believes he'll
never amount to anything . Along with his friend Sunohara, he skips
school and plans to waste his high school days away.
His mother passed away from a car accident when he was
younger, causing his father to resort to alcohol and gambling. This
results in fights between the two until Tomoya's shoulder is injured in a
fight. Since then, he couldn't lift his arm .So he had leave his basketball club though he was very good at playing it and had distant relationships with his
father, causing him to become a delinquent over time.
While on a walk to
school, he meets a young girl muttering
quietly to herself. Without warning she exclaims "Anpan!" (a popular
Japanese food) which catches Tomoya's attention .He soon discovers the
girl's name is Furukawa Nagisa and that she exclaims things she likes in
order to motivate herself. Nagisa claims they are now friends, but
Tomoya walks away passing the encounter off as nothing .However, Tomoya finds he is noticing Nagisa more and more around school.
Eventually he concedes and befriends her.He learns that she is a year
older, but is repeating due to severe illness. Due to this, she is often alone
as most of her friends have moved on .Her dream is to
revive the school's drama club. Claiming he has nothing better to do,
he decides to help her achieve this goal along with the help of five
other girls.
As Tomoya spends more time with the girls, he learns more about them and their problems. As he attempts to help each girl overcome her respective obstacle, he begins to realise life isn't as dull as he once thought.

Nagisa and Tomoya starts hanging out slowly, as time goes by, Tomoya finds his life shifting in a new

PLOT
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya follows the high school life of Haruhi Suzumiya, a young and very active high school girl, and those who are caught up in her unusual antics.While Haruhi is the central character to the plot, the story is told from the point of view of kyon, one of Haruhi's classmates.
On the first day of high school, Kyon meets an eccentric girl named Haruhi Suzumiya, who announces to the class that she is interested only in meeting aliens, time travelers, and espers.
As the story progresses Kyon and Haruhi meet many new people including the time traveler Mikuru Asahina who is shy but beautiful junior , the alien Yuki Nagato who is a quiet bookworm, and the esper Itsuki Koizumi who is an ever-smiling and loyal transfer student,all of them attend North High.
Each of them except Kyon is secretly part of one of the groups Haruhi desired to meet.Earlier the new members seemed to be very normal students of the school but it isn’t long before Kyon realizes that Haruhi’s “helpless victims” are actually members of secret organizations because these members soon reveal themselves to Kyon as the extraordinary characters Haruhi, who is unaware of her own destructive reality wrappin power, is seeking.
Discontent with the selection of after school clubs presented before Haruhi, she starts a new school club called the SOS Brigade (a club to investigate mysterious events).
Mikuru, Yuki, and Itsuki were all sent to monitor and observe Haruhi since she has the unconscious ability to destroy the universe and make a new one. Their mission is to keep her from getting bored, since Haruhi will create a new universe from scratch if the old one fails to remain interesting. However, they must hide Haruhi's powers from her for unexplained reasons. The entire series consists of the SOS Brigade's attempts to keep Haruhi entertained while hiding and dealing with supernatural phenomena.
